Patrick McBurney for Judge
6855 W. Clearwater Ave. Suite A103
Kennewick, WA 99336
Good morning Patrick,
Electing judges is one of the most difficult decisions many people face at election time. Getting meaningful information about the sitting judges and the candidates is not easy. Most of the time, the incumbents are either unchallenged or their opponents are generally unknown to the public. And yet, judges have the most direct and long-lasting impact on our communities. Decisions handed down from the bench by individuals empowered either by appointment or election have immense impact on our well-being, rights and freedoms.
It is for the above reasons that I have prayerfully considered your candidacy for the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division 3, District 2, Judge Position 1.
By this letter I am declaring my endorsement of you, Patrick McBurney, for the state Court of Appeals for the election of Nov. 8, 2016. You may use this notification of endorsement in furthering your campaign efforts as a judicial candidate.
I believe you, Patrick McBurney, possess the professionalism, integrity, values and conservative understanding of the Washington State Constitution and the U.S. Constitution that is necessary to be a fair and impartial member of the Court of Appeals. You have many years of experience in both criminal and civil law, and are motivated as a candidate to bring much needed balance to the current roster of judges at the appellate level in this state.
I have met and spoken with you in person. As a result, I believe you are a person of firm conviction for doing what is right and not beholden to any partisanism or political entity. You do not owe allegiance as a result of any favors or appointment. And, I believe, based on what I know about you, that you will honor both God and country in your personal and professional life.
Thank you for taking on this assignment in service to the people of Eastern Washington. You have my vote.
Respectfully & Cordially,
John H. Trumbo
